Sergio Pino took his life after FBI agents arrived at his Cocoplum home for criminal allegations in his bitter divorce battle with his wife, Tatiana Pino, of 32 years.
He was one of the country’s largest Hispanic residential builders and real estate developers in South Florida.

Sergio Pino founded Century Homebuilders Group, LLC, the largest Hispanic-owned homebuilder in the nation, in 1995. The company managed over 15,000 homes in Miami-Dade and Broward counties.
He was a founding member of Ready State Bank and US Century Bank.
Similarly, he was an active member of the South Florida community and served as president of the politically powerful Latin Builders Association from 1989 to 1992.
Gov. Jeb Bush appointed him to serve on the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Commission in 2000.

They were part of an ongoing federal investigation that has already led to the arrest of four people, but Sergio was not charged with any crimes yet.

Tatiana accused her husband of poisoning her, and there were allegations involving stalking and arson.
She claimed that he hired men to intimidate her, which led to dangerous situations.
In August 2023, a rented Home Depot flatbed pick-up truck rammed into her car as she pulled into her driveway after a day of divorce proceedings.
Later, Court documents revealed it as a hit-and-run incident, but the same men allegedly set three vehicles on fire at her sister’s residence. However, all four suspects pleaded not guilty.
Moreover, Tatiana is 55 years old as of 2024.
She suffered unexplained health issues where she stopped breathing, had foam coming from her mouth, and experienced bouts of diarrhea. She was sick for three years and frequently visited hospitals.

The chairman of Century Partners Group, Sergio Pion, was 67 years old at the time of his demise. He suffered a gunshot wound to the head.
